Voice is the primary capture mode in Xentropy. Here's how to set it up on each platform.
#
#
When you first tap the microphone button, iOS will ask for microphone access. Tap Allow.
If you denied access and need to re-enable:
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Scroll to Xentropy (or the app name)
- Toggle Microphone to ON
#
- Swipe right on your lock screen to open the Today View
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Edit
- Tap the + button next to Xentropy
- Tap Done
You can now start a voice capture directly from your lock screen.
#
Xentropy works with any Bluetooth headset. Audio is captured through the headset microphone and processed the same way as a phone recording.
Tip: Voice capture via AirPods works best in quiet environments. For noisy settings, hold the phone closer.
#
#
Grant microphone access when prompted on first use. To check later:
- Open Settings
- Apps → Xentropy
- Permissions → Microphone → Allow
#
Add the Xentropy voice capture tile to your Quick Settings drawer for one-tap access.
#
Web voice capture is coming soon. For now, use the mobile app for voice, or type your thoughts directly on the web Wall.
