Artifacts
The artifact library, revisions, outputs, sharing, and publication.
An artifact is a user-owned visual asset of kind chart or motion.
Everything you create lives in the artifact library.
Library
The library lists your artifacts with search and filters — by kind, status, and metadata — with stable pagination for large collections. Opening an artifact shows its detail view.
Revisions
Every accepted change creates an immutable revision. Revisions are sequenced, reference their parent, and carry a content hash and author, so history is verifiable:
- Renders and exports always reference an exact revision.
- Conflicting updates are rejected instead of silently replacing someone else's edit; re-read, re-apply, or fork.
- Deleted artifacts can be restored from trash.
Outputs
Rendered files (images, video, data exports) are recorded as outputs with their provenance: which revision, which capture, which job produced them. Downloads are authenticated. See exports.
Sharing
Create a share to distribute a frozen snapshot:
| Capability | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Expiry | Shares expire; expired links stop working |
| Revocation | Revoke a share at any time |
| Source access | Off by default; opt in explicitly |
| Remix | Off by default; opt in explicitly |
| Media | Only exact, completed files you select |
Shares are unlisted links, not public pages. Private resource links are authenticated download references, never anonymous URLs.
Publication
Publishing to a public listing is separate from sharing and requires explicit reviewed metadata: public title and description, attribution, and a license. Publication state changes are versioned with an expected current publication ID, so stale clients cannot overwrite a newer decision.
