Dashboards
Arrange saved chart and table artifacts in a responsive dashboard, with the same versioned service available to your agent.
A dashboard is a private saved grid of artifact references. Open Dashboards from global navigation. The inner sidebar offers Create dashboard when empty; after creation it lists your dashboards with collection-wide search and pagination. Search failures and “no matches” are different from having no dashboards.
Create and edit
Give the dashboard a title and optional description. Empty dashboards are valid. Choose Edit dashboard, then Add artifacts to select existing charts or tables. The editor supports title overrides, replacing/removing references, pinning revisions, and keyboard-accessible row/column/width/height controls. Save dashboard commits the complete composition; Cancel discards the draft. Removing a tile keeps the artifact in your library and other dashboards.
The saved desktop layout uses 12 columns. Narrow containers derive a 6-column or single-column layout without changing the saved document. Each tile has a stable ID independently of its artifact, so an artifact can appear more than once.
Data and revisions
- Latest saved revision follows the artifact's head revision when reloaded.
- Pinned revision retains one immutable data/spec revision. It does not freeze permissions or mutable artifact metadata.
- Each tile shows its own capture time. Reload tiles rereads saved captures; it does not refresh a data provider. Artifact refresh is a separate operation.
- Missing or trashed artifacts retain their placement as unavailable tiles, so healthy content remains usable and the composition can be repaired.
- Charts are never silently sampled to fit a preview. Oversized previews offer an artifact link; tables state their displayed and total row counts.
Editing shared artifact content affects all dashboards following its head. Ask your agent to create a separate artifact for independent content.
Agents and permissions
Use the dashboard MCP workflow for autonomous composition. Dashboard read/write scopes manage layout and membership; artifact scopes govern content independently. Dashboard-only access does not grant artifact payloads.
Saves require the dashboard's current version. If another browser or agent saves first, the editor preserves your draft and offers Reload saved version. There is no automatic overwrite or multi-user merge.
The initial release supports up to 100 tiles, private individual ownership, and chart/table artifacts. Public dashboard sharing, dashboard export, global filters, history/deletion UI, and synchronized provider refresh are separate capabilities.
